VFP Late (After July 11, 2016) Resolutions

Regarding filing a resolution after the July 11, 2016 deadline, the VFP Resolution Protocols, Item #11 states…

11. With one exception, no resolutions will be accepted by the Resolution Committee after the deadline (thirty days prior to the convention business meeting – July 11, 2016).

If, and only if, events occur after this deadline, of sufficient impact to require a resolution, no fewer than fifty (50) copies of the appropriate resolution(s), on 8.5 x 11 inch paper, should be submitted to an officer of the Board before the convening of the plenary session at the convention business meeting which resolutions are to be considered.

In any case, if a late resolution is filed, it must follow all 2016 Resolution Protocols.

Voting

On Resolutions

All Members, including both Full Members and Associate Members, shall be entitled to speak to resolutions presented before the Annual Convention. All Members, including both Full Members and Associate Members, shall be entitled to one vote on resolutions. Only Full Members may vote on bylaw amendments. The procedure for voting for both resolutions and bylaws changes will take place in the same manner and time as the elections for the Board of Directors.
